People, Places and Pastries: The Art of Wayne Thiebaud
Lecture by Dr. Steven Nash

Steven Nash, Executive Director of the Palm Springs Art Museum, will present a stimulating and informative lecture about Wayne Thiebaud’s art and the Wayne Thiebaud: 70 Years of Painting exhibition now on display in the Annenberg Wing of the museum.
Following the lecture, attendees are invited to join Dr. Nash in the Muse Cafe for tea, pastries and conversation.
The lecture is free, but the post-lecture tea is $10 per person.
Father and Son: 60+ Years in Automobile Design
Lecturers: Ron Hill and Jason Hill

This lecture will be a visual history of the Hill’s involvement with the automobile industry as designers and educators from 1950 to 2000. Ron Hill started designing and building a model automobile that won a national competition and a scholarship, which gave him the means to get an automotive design education. He then embarked on a three decade career as a designer and design manager. He left corporate life in 1985 to take a position as a Department Chairman of an institution granting design education in automotive design.
Cost: $10 ADC members, $15 nonmembers. Tickets available prior to the lecture by calling the museum’s Box Office at 760.325.4490. Tickets are also available the day of the lecture.
