The Palm Springs Cultural Center will present The Arthur Lyons’ Film Noir Festival at the Camelot Theatres on
May 28-31 2009
it was announced by David Todd, the Center’s Executive Director.
Founded back in 2000 by the late mystery author and Palm Springs community leader, the popular Film Noir festival includes an eclectic mixture of prestigious and obscure black and white “B” movies from the classic film noir period. The former Palm Springs Film Noir Festival is well known for a scintillating array of personal appearances by the stars that appeared in the movies being screened.
“The Palm Springs Cultural Center is proud to add Arthur’s festival to our ever growing special events and activities,” Todd remarked. “In addition to our wildly successful Cinema Diverse: The Gay and Lesbian Film Festival – Palm Springs, the Palm Springs Student Short Film Festival, Cinema Silver and AFI Palm Springs Showcase, we also present our Certified Farmers Markets in Palm Springs, Palm Desert and La Quinta.”
