If you plan on being in LA on Friday, come by Spaceland (in Silverlake) for an amazing show! A George Harrison tribute. Come on now… how awesome is that?
Plus, yours truly, the CVAS blog will be there doing arts and crafts with some LA people. You gotta love it. I will be representing that low desert punk that’s in all of us. Hehehehe….

“Mark your calendars now! On Saturday, September 12th we will be taking over Spaceland for an evening to celebrate the songs of George Harrison and to support the Harmony Project, an amazing non-profit organization that provides free music instruction to 750 youths, ages 6-17, in inner-city Los Angeles. The night will feature performances by Ryan Ross (The Young Veins/Panic At The Disco), Robert Francis, Matt Popieluch (Foreign Born/ Fools Gold), Michael Runion, Amanda Jo Williams, El May (Ben Lee/Luna), Denver Dalley (Desaparecidos/ Statistics), Leslie Stevens (Leslie and the Badgers), The Whispering Pines, Mississippi Man, Andy Creighton (The World Record/Parson Redheads), Brian Whelan (The Broken West), Josh Charney (Le Switch), Eugene Edwards, John Hopkinson and more to be announced shortly. *Plus crafts with the fine folks from the Coachella Valley Arts Scene*, DJs and visuals. Tickets are $8 in advance, $10 at the door and you can buy them here. Stay tuned to When You Awake for more details.” – Jody of When You Awake
