“Just sit right back and you’ll hear a tale,

A tale of a fateful trip
That started from this tropic port
Aboard this tiny ship.
The mate was a mighty sailing man,
The skipper brave and sure.
Five passengers set sail that day
For a three hour tour, a three hour tour.
The weather started getting rough,
The tiny ship was tossed,
If not for the courage of the fearless crew
The minnow would be lost, the minnow would be lost.” – Gilligan’s Island

Hello South Seattle (the community formally known as the Coachella Valley)! How are you all doing out there?!?!

Just kidding. Well, actually, I take that back, I’m not. This rain is out of control! I actually really do feel like I’m in Seattle. Seattle minus the excellent rain drought systems. And plus the flooded streets and con caving ceilings.
This weather might be a pain, but your social schedule doesn’t have to be. Don’t get washed out, left out, or hung out to dry. And definitely don’t stay inside and pout all day. That would be sooo “desert rat” cliche of you.
Experience happiness and warmth in the following locations:

THURSDAY NIGHT:

so, yeah, this post came a day late… but just in case you need an alibi, you can use this party as one

FRIDAY NIGHT:
Space 120 does it again! These guys are on a roll! Strong Arm Steady is definitely going to be representing the desert’s current hip hop scene tonight. Be there or be square.

down the street from Space 120 is always J Dee’s Landing. And if hip hop isn’t your thing, then maybe Metal is. If so, be there or be square.

SATURDAY NIGHT:

Saturday night, or Sabado to others, looks like it’s going to be a flashy one in the desert. If you don’t have a collared shirt, it’s time to invest in one. Soul de Mexico is going to have a wild fiesta that you know will be packed.
Like I said, if you don’t have a collared shirt, now is the time to invest. I personally love the promotion for the Cosmetic Surgery in this one. LOVE it. Where’s the bottle service when you need it?

A Peak into Next Week:
Punk rock or die! At J Dee’s. A Ghost Channel event.

Thank you for spending yet another week with your friends at the Coachella Valley Art Scene. We appreciate your company, especially in this lovely weather.
