“Take a hike ya filthy animal!!!” –
Mojave Desert Land Trust presents:

Discover the Beauty and Learn the Real Story of the Mojave Desert

Joshua Tree, CA

Feb-April, Oct-Dec 2010

Joshua Tree, CA – The Mojave Desert Land Trust and Uprising Adventure Guides announce our Eco-Hikes program. Starting Feb 6 through April 24, hikes are scheduled every weekend in Joshua Tree National Park or the surrounding Mojave Desert.

Discover nature while learning about our cultural history, desert ecosystems, fascinating geology, and rare flora and fauna. Our expert tour guides will take you to our most scenic desert destinations where you will experience the abundant natural beauty that surrounds us.

This is the perfect time of year to experience our mild temperatures, breathtaking sunrises and sunsets, and the blooming cacti and wildflowers. Limited spaces available.

Proceeds from the Eco-Hikes program will go towards our Quail Mountain Project- a campaign to save 955 acres in Joshua Tree, CA. Protecting this land will permanently preserve habitat for endangered wild life, conserve critical watersheds that extend north from Quail Mountain and offer future generations the opportunity to enjoy this beautiful landscape forever.

Reservations required: Reserve your space on-line at: www.mojavedesertlandtrust.org or contact Leslie Nyquist at 760-366-5440 Mon.-Fri. or leslie@mojavedesertlandtrust.org anytime.
