99 Bucks Art Sale
Saturday, March 6, 4:30 – 6:30
Hotel Zoso (150 North Indian Canyon in Palm Springs)
On Saturday, the Artists Council will present the popular “99 Bucks” art sale in the ballroom at the Hotel Zoso. Many famous (and infamous) people have donated a 5″ x 7″ work of art to the sale that includes traditional paintings as well as novelty mixed media pieces and sculpture. To date, more than 200 artists and celebrities have created over 400 canvases for the sale. All the works will remain anonymous and be signed only on the back. Celebrities that have contributed canvases include singing sensation Barry Manilow, international known artist Enrique Chagoya and his wife Kara Maria, local personality Bella Da Ball, comedian Gary Mule Deer, Tony-award winning librettist Bill Russell, two-time track and field Olympian Mark Naylor, singer, songwriter and actress Shelby Lynn and Broadway stage sensation Elaine Page.

The public is invited to a cocktail reception and to review these miniature masterpieces from 4:30 until 5:30 p.m. At 5:30, the sale will begin and buyers can purchase any of the works for just $99 each on a first come, first served basis. Buyers will not know the name of the selected artist until after the close of sales. Tickets to the event will be sold at the door for $19.99 for adults and $9.99 for children 12 and under.
