Rivers and Tides: Andy Goldsworthy Working with Time, Thomas Riedelsheimer, Germany, Finland, U.K., Canada, 2001 · Blurring the boundaries between conceptual art and photography, Andy Goldsworthy’s sculptures are transient creations formed from natural elements.

PERFORMANCE · 12 noon
Revel in the pulsating, rhythmic sounds of the Desert Hot Springs High School’s Steel Orchestra group as they perform on the front steps of the museum.

FAMILY ACTIVITY · Anytime between 12:30-3:30 p.m.
Blurring Boundaries in Art · Come and take a look at how our student artists are blurring boundaries in art. Join us to create a work of art and feel free to erase, add or blur the boundaries.

ARTISTS IN ACTION · 1 p.m.
Assemble This! · Cathy Allen demonstrates how found materials can be combined to create artworks with visual interest and meaning.
