The Palm Springs Student Short Film Festival is a student produced festival that opens a pathway to our youngest local filmmakers to showcase their film work in their home community while offering our community a “first look” at the creative and artistic riches in our own backyard.
Each year, students from more than twenty Coachella Valley High Schools and middle Schools are invited to submit films to the Palm Springs Student Short Film Festival. The original creators of the Palm Springs Student Short Festival Anna and Nora Hammond have both moved on to college. High School students Alex Mandinach and Jonathan Phung have eagerly taken the reins for this year’s Palm Springs Student Short Film Festival. The festival will screen at Camelot Theatre on Thursday, April 22nd at 7:30 p.m. and Saturday, April 24th at 9:00 a.m. Each program is 2 hours and is free to the general public.
