It’s summer time and we’re straight chillin’.

Never mind that it’s like... ohh… hmm… 120 degrees outside with a chance of rain, that’ssooooo secondary to the fact that Doc Delay (NY) is playing at the Amigo Room tonight, some local house DJs will be spinning on Friday at Space 120, Fresh Out the Box is having a 2 Year Anniversary Party on Saturday, they’ll be some disco house to get down ‘n dirty to at the Ace on Sunday, and Emerica is premiering their feature length skate video this Tuesday.  We got way better things to do around town then to complain how hot it is.  I mean, really, isn’t that for tourists to do anyways?  We’re locals, we’re diehards.  As 50 Cent would say, ‘I ain’t new to this, I’m true to this’.  And me, well I’m about to do this…

THURSDAY NIGHT:

Within a moment’s notice, Doc Delay, will be rocking the tables at the Amigo Room at the Ace Hotel.  Jack be quick. (*note: Reunion is an ongoing weekly event and will be going on September 4th (while the blog is shut down to the fact that we are going to Burning Man))

FRIDAY NIGHT:

Howie Pyro is most famous for his psychedelic voo doo DJing ways.  And on Friday nights at Ace Hotel he plays all 45′s, all night long.  Whaaa laaa… (*note: DJ Howie Pyro is an ongoing weekly event and will be going on September 5th (while the blog is shut down to the fact that we are going to Burning Man))

Fluxx Fridays is a new night that starting up at Space 120.  It’s going down August 27thand officially getting crackin’ on August 6th as well.  So, consider this double post.  Pretty excited about it as some local house DJs from the desert rock the spot for the night.  Make sure you bring your dance shoes out for this one.

SATURDAY NIGHT:

On Saturday, if you plan on being in Palm Springs all day, make sure to come to this and party with one of the coolest record labels around, Ubiquity Records, poolside at the Ace.

After chillin’ with Ubiquity, make sure to stick around to work off all that booze you’ve been storing.  Saturday nights in the Amigo Room bring you indie disco house.  Word.  (*note: Reunion is an ongoing weekly event and will be going on September 6th(while the blog is shut down to the fact that we are going to Burning Man))

If you’re more of an Eastside Town kinda girl/boy, then make sure to go and support Fresh Out The Box’s 2 year anniversary party!!!  Congratulations, guys!  I remember when you first opened I covered a big-ol’-story on you.  Nice to see you’re still doing your thing and … what’s that?  giving out FREE gifts to all their customers!?!  Sweet.

Then, after the Fresh Out the Box party, walk on down to The Hood.  There will be a FREE, all ages show starting at 7pm.  Featuring bands: Deadend Paradox, Los Chinos, and Cakes & Brains!  Gonna be a fun one for sure.

SUNDAY EVENING:

Bottom line, party never stops at the Ace.  The tables never stop spinning.  Everyday it’s happening. (*note: Reunion is an ongoing weekly event and will be going on September 7th (while the blog is shut down to the fact that we are going to Burning Man))

MONDAY NIGHT:

Monday Night = Bingo Night!  Come get your B – I – N – G – O on with a semi-famous celeb. (*note: Reunion is an ongoing weekly event and will be going on September 7th (while the blog is shut down to the fact that we are going to Burning Man))

TUESDAY NIGHT:

Here is an option: stay at home and watch TV by yourself OR go to the Ace Hotel’s Commune to watch the feature length Emerica skate video premiere!  Basically, be there or be square.  You don’t wanna miss this.

WEDNESDAY NIGHT:

Not only will the local DJs get down, but Drumcell will be rockin’ as well.  ’Heck no if you ain’t down with Techo!’

If techno is a little too much for ya, then there’s always a free punk rock show down the street in the Amigo Room at the Ace Hotel!  This week The Ghost Channel brings out… Brothers Young.

Thank you to everyone who continues to support The Coachella Valley Art Scene!  We appreciate all the kind words and sincere praise.  We couldn’t do it with out you all.  As you hopefully know by now, The Coachella Valley Art Scene is heading to Burning Man on August 29th and will return on September 7th. Since this is a one woman show, the blog will be on pause at this time.  Please email any questions to us and we will answer them as soon as we return.  Thank you!  thecoachellavalleyartscene@gmail.com
