An art show in Joshua Tree always is a good thing.  make sure to check out what the Joshua Tree Art Gallery is showing from the Open Art Tour week’s selected artist.  Super excited about the Art Tour, by the way.  This shall be a great teaser.

Please join us this Saturday, October 2nd, 2010 from 7:00pm until 10:00pm at the Opening Reception for the “Book of Tiki” Group Art Exhibition Featuring Amazing New Original Artwork by the top Tiki artists in the World including SHAG (aka Josh Agle).  This exhibition will celebrate the 10th Year Anniversary since the book was published and this event will be hosted by none other than the author SVEN KIRSTEN.

This Saturday Max Durazo is hosting his second annual, Artsy Fartsy Art Show.  Featuring works from the Coachella Valley’s most popular street artists.  Also added to the bill, Robert Caldwell.  Robert will be showcasing his Dita Von Teese photography collection.  Va va Voom!

Next Weekend:

Cooper and Cambell are two artists that most recently joined forces to form an art and action powerhouse.  Make sure to keep your eye out for these two as I see great things from from them.  Collision will be their first show together, and it doesn’t sound fru fru to me… sounds more like they are hitting the ground running.  NOt only am I excited about Cooper and Cambell, but I am just as excited about the El Paseo Art Walk, which their show is in conjunction with.  Plus!, this show is centered around contemporary art and couture hair.  Gotta see what that’s all about – sounds like a great combo.

Fresh Out The Box, one of my favorite locally owned businesses in the Coachella Valley, is hosting an art show next Friday.  Not only will the shop be presenting two of the desert’s premiere street artists, but they will also be featuring DJ Day on decks.  Touching upon all senses, food and beverage will be provided as well.  Make sure to come outto this and support a group of young entrepreneurs with a cool vision for the bigger picture.

So excited!  Definitely an event that you should make the effort and drive to attend.  You will happy that you treated yourself to such an eye opening, folkadelic experience.  Please make sure to visit: www.joshuatreemusicfestival.com!
