Some of their upcoming events:

  • Our season opening potluck will be on Monday, November 8th in a Palm Springs home. The theme will be“Making the most of your farmers’ market”, with guest speakers Paul and Giacomina Palodichuk, andAndie Hubka of Cooking with Class. People bringing potluck dishes are encouraged to feature farmers’ market produce, and maybe bring a recipe… this could be an excuse to trade tips and techniques. Starting at 5.30 PM.  $10 for members, $15 for non-members. You will be advised of location when you have RSVP’d HERE
  • We will be inviting you all to the Slow Food Desert Cities annual Gala Fundraiser for School Gardens,  at the Miramonte Spa and Resort on December 5th!  A scrumptious event in a delightful setting for a wonderful cause… more info to come. Save the date!
  • During the month of October, Slow Food USA is driving to add 10,000 more voices to our powerful network of changemakers demanding a just and healthy food system.  From now through October 22, 2010, your donation of $25 or more makes you a member of Slow Food USA.  We’re offering this opportunity for a limited time only.   You can sign up for membership on our local website or on Slow Food USA. Be sure to specify Desert Cities as being the chapter you are becoming a local member of so we can keep you informed of the irresistible event season ahead. A contribution of $60 or more also gives members access to special giveaways and discounts. Existing members who joined with a contribution of $60 and dual members will be enrolled in this program until their membership expires
