Who are the Windmill City Rollers and What they About?:
Windmill City Cyclists is a group of friends from The Coachella Valley who have a common interest in cycling and doing good. We are participating in The AIDS Life Cycle 10. A 7-day, 545-mile bike ride from San Francisco to Los Angeles to make a world of difference in the lives of people living with HIV and AIDS. We feel it is important to set a positive example to the public through fundraising, activism and cycling.
We are riding to help those living with HIV/AIDS. Our goal is to educate and raise awareness among our peers, donors and our community. As the number of people living with HIV increases, so does the need for the services provided by The L.A. Gay & Lesbian Center & The San Francisco AIDS Foundation. The funds that we raise will help aid in prevention services, medical care and treatment. In our current economy our efforts are vital to those individuals living with the disease. We have come together in the hopes that through this ride AIDS will be a thing of the past.
The Windmill City Cyclist Team will be raising $30,000 by June 3rd, 2011. We would be incredibly thankful for any donations you could make on our behalf. Not only will your contributions will make an extraordinary difference for those surviving with HIV/AIDS it will help avert new infections. We are the voice in the fight against AIDS, please help us reach our goals and please make a donation today.
