This Saturday in Joshua Tree!
Come one, come all… it’s the Joshua Tree Arts Crawl.
It’s time to frolic on up the golden road (aka Hwy 62) for a day immense in art, culture and quirkiness. That’s the High Desert for you. One of the most interesting places to visit in the desert, Joshua Tree, never seizes to amaze me. So I can assure it will satisfy all of your quirky needs.
What’s super cool about the Art Crawl is that you get a real taste of what the local art community of the town is up to. There are people, community, and culture oozing out everywhere. Yummy.
The Joshua Tree Art Crawl is free to attend and is open to all ages.
Check out the list of gallery openings that I have listed below:

Woods in the Desert presents…
a community art show that explores the iconic plant. Is the future of the Joshua Tree in jeopardy? There’s concern by experts that Joshua Trees could succumb to climate change, transforming the Park’s ecosystem. For the last 20 years there’s been the threat of an enormous garbage dump that would devastate the park’s ecosystem. Joshua Tree National Park is celebrating 75 years. We present ‘Joshua Tree: Still Standing’ honoring the beauty and legacy of this symbol of strength, enlightenment & inspiration.
Opens Sat, March 12 from 5-8pm
Runs through April 2

Joshua Tree Art Gallery presents…
‘Circle of Quiet’
featuring new works
by Karine Swenson
It all started about two years ago at a gallery opening in Colorado. I had just begun putting these fading circles in my paintings. Another artist, a man, was looking at my new work and said to me “you can’t keep painting these perfect looking circles over and over.” I blame him. — K. Swenson, 2011
