Poet Peter Strange Yumi is a multi-media artist who translates his impressions of poems into color videos. He will present his three latest videos Hourex, I Like my Eggs with DDT, and Forgotten in my Sleep along with a discussion of his process and a reading of the poems.
ARTISTS IN ACTION
James and Jackie Lee Houston Atrium • 1 p.m.
Artist Charlie Ciali will show how artists use beeswax and dammar resin to create encaustics – flat, smooth-textured, translucent paintings.
PERFORMANCE

Artful Conversations • Join Deputy Director Robert Brasier in a lively conversation about the weird and unusual materials artists use as you explore works from the museum’s permanent collection.
