Melissa Morgan Fine Art cordially invites you to a Reception for Squeak Carnwath and Exhibition of Recent Works on Thursday, January 5, from 5 – 7PM. Carnwath is currently the Professor Emeritus of Art at Berkeley. and the Exhibition of her Recent Works at Berkeley.

One of California’s most iconic living contemporary painters, her works are exhibited widely and are in major public and private collections, including the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, the San Francisco Fine Arts Museum, the Brooklyn Museum, the Palm Springs Art Museum and the collections of Microsoft, Chase and numerous others. In 2009, The Oakland Museum of California organized a large survey of Carnwath’s work, Squeak Carnwath: Painting is no Ordinary Object.  

Carnwath has received numerous awards including the Society for the Encouragement of Contemporary Art (SECA) Award from San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, two Individual Artist Fellowships from the National Endowment for the Arts, a Guggenheim Fellowship, and the Award for Individual Artists from the Flintridge Foundation.
