Food, family, fireworks and the community.  Okay, and warm weather and crying kids.  However, what’s July 4th in the desert without all of the above?

Below are a list of all the firework shows happening in the Coachella Valley on July 4th.

Cities that will host firework shows are Palm Springs, Palm Desert and La Quinta.  Not to mention, who will be having their own in their front yard!  (hehe jk)

Whatever you do, or wherever you go… just remember to have fun and be safe.

Happy 4th of July from The Coachella Valley Art Scene!!!

“All American Fourth of July”

at Palm Springs Stadium

1901 E. Baristo Rd.

Palm Springs, CA

starts at 9:15pm

Baseball, beer, hot dogs and fireworks.  Doesn’t get much better than that.  Come early to catch the Palm Springs Power Baseball team (6:15pm) and stay for the fireworks (9:15pm).  If you miss the game, you can still post up all around the field to catch some great explosions in the sky.

Baseball game: Admission to game is $6 for students & seniors, $7 for adults

Fireworks & Live Music

Palm Desert Civic Center Park

73510 Fred Waring Drive

Palm Desert, CA

Starts at 9:00pm

Bring a blankie and a bunt of munchies to the free event at the Palm Desert Civic Center park.  It’s a huge place with lost of seating all around the park, or even at College of the Desert.  I even know a few who go to the top level of the Westfield Mall.  Whatever floats your boat, or sets you off.  Live music will consist of The Swing Cats Big Band (at 7:30pm) and when the firework show starts at 9:00pm 100.5FM radio will feature synchronized music.

“Carnaval of Lights”

at the La Quinta Community Park

77865 Montezuma Dr.

La Quinta, CA

Starts at 9:00pm

I love the way La Quinta parties it up on the 4th!  They start at noon with a pool party that goes till 5pm!  From 5pm – 9pm they have a “Carnival of LIghts” parade, chili cook-off, entertainments and refreshments.  At 9:00pm, the fireworks shoot up into the sky and end the evening with a bang.  All of this is free to attend!
