This weekend there are a toooooooooon of things going on in Palm Springs!
Amongst all the madness is the ultra famous/fabulous and free, 2012 Palm Springs Pride Parade! Seriously one of the funnest things to check in Palm Springs all year long.
If you haven’t been yet, it’s a must to check out. Here are some photos and info:
2012 Palm Springs Pride Parade
Parade Route: Steps off at W. Ramon Rd. and travels north on S. Palm Canyon Drive to E. Tamarisk Rd.
About: Known for its crystal blue skies, year-round sunshine, stunning landscape, palm tree lined streets and starry nights the City of Palm Springs comes alive during the annual Pride Celebration. Rainbow flags and glitter will fill the streets as the ever present Mount San Jacinto Mountains star in the most scenic Pride Parade in the world. The downtown parade steps off at 10am and travels north from W. Ramon Rd. along historic Palm Canyon Drive.

The big question proceeding the parade is always….”what’s there to do now?”
Well, kids, look no further!
After watching the parade and getting a bite to eat after make sure to make your way down to the Ace Hotel to dance, craft, and swim with the Desert Aids Project.
For their 2nd year in a row the Desert Aids Project will be organizing BANDAids, a musical celebration to support the non-profit organization.
It’s a perfect way to end the weekend, support a great organization, and also your local art community!
Check out all the details below!
Looking forward to seeing you there – you can find me at the craft table, of course.

Biography:
Growing up, desert singer-songwriter Dani Meza was greatly drawn to old soul and R&B performers. Much like those performers Dani’s style, best described as Indie Soul, or Desert Soul, focuses on the emotion of the song.
He uses his voice as an instrument to express every word and feeling, whether it’s singing the melody or using it as a “horn stab”. Live, his dancing stomping energy is wildly contagious and makes his three or four piece group feel like a much larger band. His shows are not to be missed. When he’s not performing, Dani spends much of his time locked in a monastic cell writing music. Watch for two upcoming releases, a vocal and an instrumental album.
