It was super inspiring! We got to experience the genius of an architect that Lautner is, learned a little desert history and even got to check out the art works of Danny Heller. Also, not to mention, on the tour we ran into DJ Alf Alpha! Pretty cool! Check out our photos below to see what it’s all about.
There is one opportunity to take the tour this weekend, so make sure to scroll all the way down to get the details! You won’t want to miss it!
About Hotel Lautner
The iconic desert hideaway once known as the Desert Hot Springs Motel is reimagined today as Hotel Lautner, an award winning, stunning modern day oasis in the desert. Los Angeles based interior designer Tracy Beckmann of Tracy Beckman Design and furniture designer Ryan Trowbridge of Brown + Trowbridge purchased the famed modernist architect John Lautner’s mid-century gem in 2008 and spent 3 ½ years on its meticulous renovation.
To bring this exceptional site successfully into the 21st century, the designers were careful to remain tastefully true to the gestalt of the original design. “Our goal for the renovation was to remain as true to Lautner’s vision for the property as possible. The hotel needed to showcase the brilliance of Lautner’s architecture while embracing the needs of today’s discerning hotel traveler”.

Upon walking into Hotel Lautner we were greated by an educated staff who gave us a run down of Hotel Lautner; it’s significance, history and information on Lautner himself.
