We know this is coming to you a little late, but we just came across this while cruising through the internet this morning and thought it was a fantastic opportunity for all of our visual artists and photographer friends.
Sunnylands, one of our (and Obama’s) all time favorite places to visit, is giving special access to the Sunnylands gardens to artists once a month for the rest of the year. Artists are invite to come bring their easels and paint. You can work on your art here, however, you can not sell it on location. Come get inspired, create and meet others. If you ask me, sounds like a great way to start your day.

Plein air painting at Sunnylands gives artists special access to the gardens at times when the Gardens are not open to the general public. In September, artists are invited to bring their easels and paints as early as 7:30 a.m. Reservations are mandatory. Please call the education department at 760-202-2222 xx234 or x249 in order to reserve your place.
Art may not be sold.
Additional dates for plein air painting are the following:
Saturday, October 19, when the Gardens will stay open until 5:30 p.m.
Wednesday, November 20, Gardens will open at 7:30 a.m.
Saturday, December 21, Gardens will stay open until 5:30 p.m.
Wednesday, January 15, 2014, Gardens will open at 7:30 a.m.
