By America’s great comic playwright, this beautifully crafted memory play is set in Yonkers in 1942. Aunt Bella is 35-years-old, mentally challenged and living at home with her mother, stern Grandma Kurnitz. As the play opens, ne’r do-well son Eddie deposits his two young sons on the old lady’s doorstep. He is financially strapped and taking to the road as a salesman. The boys are left to contend with Grandma, with Bella and her secret romance, and with Louie, her brother, a small-time hoodlum in a strange new world called Yonkers.  Grandma is anything but affectionate and the rest of the family has suffered from her tyrannical rule. All three generations learn something in Neil Simon’s Tony Award and Pulitzer Prize-winning funny, yet touching tale of young discovery.

“This story speaks to everyone.” Says Artistic Director, Lance Phillips-Martinez. “We can all relate to a tale of family, that is what this play is about.  Simon uses his humor and wit in the best way – to help with the tension and pain that can rest in the fibers of our family roots.  The show is funny, touching and beautiful.  The story comes directly from the playwrights memories and that makes it magical.  If you have seen Lost in Yonkers staged before, look for some new twists on the show…especially with the character of Eddie.  I can’t tell you what we are doing, you must see for yourself!”

Artistic Director Lance Phillips-Martinez directs. The cast includes Daniela Ryan as Bella, Gregg Aratin as Eddie, Stephen Blackwell as Louie, Adina Lawson as Gert, Angus Feath as Arty, Cameron Keys as Jay, and June August as Grandma.

The Production crew includes: Ron Phillips-Martinez (sets), Briana Taylor (Costumes), Florentino Carrillo (Sound). DeLane Marianowits (Lights), Kathy Taylor-Smith (Hair and Make-Up) and Priscilla Lawson (Props).
