Our partnership with Westfield Palm Desert

  • One Year Residency
  • Activated a 6,000 sq. ft. space called “MAKE” from January – June
    • Produced 3 Art Shows, featured over 20 local artists
    • Weekly Live Music Events, featured over 15 local bands
    • Poetry Festival, highlighted over 15 local poets and writers
    • Local Commerce, featured over 12 emerging local entrepreneurs
    • Produced an Independent Short Film Festival
    • Produced Kid Disco, a children’s dance party
    • Partnered with Desert AIDS Project, Desert Arc, Get Tested, Torres Martinez Indian Reservation, Comic Con Palm Springs, Palm Desert Youth Committee on events
  • Activated a 3,000 sq. ft. space (twice) called “STREET HQ”
    • 3 months of weekly Hip Hop programming, featuring 20+ hip hop artists
    • Local Commerce, featured over 12 emerging local entrepreneurs
    • Art exhibit featuring over 5 local street artists
    • Ongoing interactive crafts and open art studio
  • Art Curation for STREET 2016 – An Urban Art and Music Festival
    • Curated and booked 10 local musical acts
    • Curated and booked 8 local visual artists
    • Curated and booked 6 Local poets / writers
    • Curated and produced 7 Interactive Craft Tables
    • Approximately 4,000 people in attendance


Our partnership with SunLine Transit Agency

  • 111 Music Festival – “When there’s music, it’s a Soundbus”
    • Curate and Book over 25 local music acts
    • Curate and Book over 5 local poets and writers
    • Produced over 10 live music videos
    • Commercial material all featuring and promoting local artists
    • Mobile Music Festival that spans across the entire the Coachella Valley
    • All Ages event, $1 to participate


First Annual Poetry Festival

  • Curated by Michelle Castillo
  • Featured over 20 poets and creative writers from across Southern California
  • Poetry Workshops and Programming


Fiscal Sponsorship : CREATE Center for the Arts Palm Desert

  • We our very proud and honored to announce our first ever Fiscal Sponsorship with CREATE Center for the Arts.
    • We have sponsored their project by offering our 501(c)(3) status. CREATE is now able to seek grants and solicit tax-deductible donations under our exempt status.
  • The CVAS supports CREATE’s Mission.
    • CREATE Center for the Arts Palm Desert is an exciting new arts venue focused on art creation. This is a facility with a formal gallery space, internationally recognized visiting artist workshops, a wide variety of classes and working studio space for printmakers, crafters, fiber arts, fashion, video, painting, drawing, 3-D printing and more.
    • We hope to one day occupy space inside their new facility in the heart of Palm Desert
  • We are now able to be a Fiscal Sponsor to any other emerging artists and/or arts organizations that are looking to emerge in 2017.
