This just in: The Coachella Valley Art Scene blog (aka CVASb) will be traveling to the Democratic National Convention to due a story on the Date Farmers who will be installing an art piece for Obama at the Convention. I will be flying out of the LAX airport next week on August 27th and will be meeting up with the Date Farmers later that afternoon to accompany them to a party featuring the Cold War Kids, Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, the Silversun Pickups, Nada Surf and many more at the Manifest Hope Gallery in Denver, CO. The next evening, the CVASb will be attending the convention!

As promised, next week is still going to be focusing on the desert’s hip hop movement. The blog will still be providing interviews and Things 2 Do Thursdays. The only change in plans is that the week following hip hop week (the first week of September) was going to be focusing on the development of the rock scene in the desert and that will have to be pushed a week back due to the Convention. I will be posting my experience from the Convention the week following next week, the first week of September, so please check in to watch video footage, pictures and journal enteries.

I am very excited about this experience, as I am all for Obama and hope you are too. I will be definitely be repping the Coachella Valley with the Date Farmers while I will be out there. So, if you have any stickers, shirts or any shwag that you would like for me to plaster around in Denver, just hit me up through email and we can work something out to meet up this weekend. Thanks! email:
