Let’s get down to the nitty gritty…. this Saturday night is Christmas!  So, first and foremost, before we carry on any further… Merry Christmas to you and yours.  And if you don’t celebrate, well, then, Happy Holidays!

Either way, Christmas is kinda like a red flag, alerting you that the year is close to an end.  The smell of pine, the holiday cheer, all those Christmas-theme songs on repeat, all this red and green…. it’s also a little reminder that 2011 is just around the corner.

So, from all of us here at The Coachella Valley Art Scene… we hope that 2010 was fun and we wish you the best in 2011.  Wishing you nothing but supreme partying all the way to and from 2011 and beyond!  Cheers…

I don’t know about you… but sure am happy to see Bujwah back at it again.  Not sure if they ever really stopped producing shirts, events, and projecting that El Centro lifestyle… but seemed like they slowed it down for a couple years.  Anyway, who cares, they are here now and they are rocking it once again.  The El Centro cats have many family ties to the Coachella Valley, and looks like the Coachella Valley is tying themselves up with El Centro as local Palm Springs ‘spook rock’ band, War Drum, will be performing at the Bujwah Video Premier tonight.  Good designs, good art, good music… all good reasons to go and support.

If you are not heading to El Centro to support the homies then make sure to make your way to Palm Springs, more specifically Space 120, to attend the funniest interactive improv comedy around town.  The Cool Factor is the brain behind the banger.  Come loose and ready to laugh.

After the comedy show, as you are in the good spirits, make your way around the corner and down the street to the Ace Hotel’s Amigo Room.  DJ Day is back from is world tour and is ready to rock the party.

Seriously, what’s better than some good ol’ Jewish humor the night before Christmas?  Nothing, nothing, I tell ya. Don’t deny yourself the unexplainable desire to indulge yourself in some good old Heebonism.  Oh, and there’s an after party put together by the likes of FLAUNT Magazine (shout out to Flaunt!  one of all time favorites that I’ve been following for years) and Viva Radio.  Be there or be a shmuck.

Pick whichever flyer you want.  Both will lead you to a pot of gold.  However, this gold is nonexchangeable to cash… for it’s FREE… and as you know, the best things in life are free.  This just might be the best Christmas Night After Party in Southern California!!!  I mean… really… we got DJ Alf Alpha spinning nothing but the best world, dance, unique beats and we also are offering a table full of art supplies for all of you guys to come and make a piece of art/embellishment to your outfit/souvenir/gift for FREE!  Not everyday where you can make a cool little somethin’-somethin’ for FREE, while you are a little tipsy…. right?  So, come down and do something different.  Because something ‘different’ is the best gift you could ever receive.  And don’t be greedy!….feel free to bring your friends/family/strangers!!! Merry Christmas and we hope to see you there!

If you don’t feel like dancing or making art at our (The Coachella Valley Art Scene) and ALf Alpha’s party, then make sure to go out and support the Hip Hop heads who stole Christmas!  Bring them presents… trees.

Holly Miranda… she’s a desert goddess.  She hovers over the San Jacinto Mountains and pumps out positive sound vibrations at sundown on Sundays.  Whata babe.

December 30th!

My blogging brothers, East of LA, are throwing a HUGE party on the rooftop of the FOX THEATER in Pomona.  The Coachella Valley’s DJ Alf Alpha is one of their guest party rockers… so, we know what that means, it’s going to be quality music selections with a cool vibe that still make you move.  Can’t ask for a better way to manuver into the New Year…. right??  Take special note that this party is on DECEMBER 30TH!!! New Year Eve’s Eve.

December 31st!

Any I See Hawks In LA fans out there?  You freaky folk, you.  This New Years the guys travel from LA to Pioneertown to rock at Pappy & Harriets.

Thizzneyland, brought to you by Sik-Em and Trump Tight Kennels, is in it’s second year of NYE event production.  This year, get real crazy on a ranch in DHS with some of the desert’s best up and coming Rock and Hip Hop artists.  It’s $10 if you say you came to see Slipping Into Darkness… and that $10 will get you free food and drink.  Or, say that The Coachella Valley Art Scene sent you.  🙂  Whatever you do, make sure to have fun and be safe!!

HAPPY HOLIDAYS to everyone out there!!  Wishing you the best there is and the most prosperous 2011 possible.  Thank you for all of your continuous support and here’s to a better 2011!  Cheers!  Email me anything you got going on… I’m interested to know… thecoachellavalleyartscene @gmail.com
