Our Top 5 Picks
We chose these top 5 based on quality and price. And, extra bonus points for organization and decent aromas.
#1 Pick: GYPSYLAND
Desert Hot Springs, CA
Hands down, best Thrift Store in the desert. Not only is this place family owned, by a super cool family, but it also has the most character ever. A typical shopping experience in Gypsyland consists of listening to Disney songs from the movies and Voice Over from the rides at the park, digging through records, oooooo-ing and awwwww-ing at amazing hand-picked vintage furniture, and drooling over cool nic-naks and cashing in on costume-like clothing. Plus, you get to experience the lovely city of Desert Hot Springs (my hometown). Great views, horrible wind storms, weird street people, amazing thrift stores. It all balances out.

#2 Pick: REVIVALS
Palm Springs, CA
Cathedral City, CA
When I don’t feel like making the trek over to Gypsyland you can find me at Revivals. In fact, Revivals seems to be where I randomly run into my friends and sometimes conduct business meetings (we chat over digging through the racks). It’s sooo well organized. It’s very reasonably prices. But the best of all – is they have really good stuff! It is a very rare and sad day when I leave the store empty handed. This place is super dependable as I always find my gold there, always.

#3 Pick: OASIS THIRFT STORE
When I’m on the East end of the Valley, I always make sure to make a little pit-stop at Oasis Thrift Store. Another place with unlimited and unassuming amounts of treasures. A little on the stinky and dingy side, however, this is another place that never fails me. This is also another place where I have business meetings/brainstorm sessions. I didn’t have a photo on hand, so I just screencaped what I found on the Internet. Gotta love bootleggedness. Oh, and make sure to wander around the neighborhood because there are about 3 other thrift stores of good quality in walking distance.

Angel View Thrift Stores // Palm Springs + Palm Desert
I like these guys because they are a locally ran non-profit. They also have some pretty good stuff from time to time.
Neu 2 U Thrift Store // Rancho Mirage
Brand new Thrift Store in town, supports my fellow Jews.
American Cancer Society Discovery Shop // Rancho Mirage
The clothes in there look virtually untouched. Hit and miss.
And as always….
make sure to check Craigslist for all the local Yard/Garage/Estate Sales
