The Coachella Valley Art Scene proudly presents “Manteca Electrica,” a solo exhibition by breakthrough artist Matthew Nelson.
Nelson is a fabric and graphic design artist originally from Virginia who now resides in Palm Springs. His work ever-so-delicately expresses
His fabric art explores ancient art practices while his graphic design work parallels in representing what our modern tools of today are. Topics of his work touch upon pop culture to fine art icons and size of pieces span from small scale to 10ft wide. There is no limit to Nelson’s imagination, no matter the material.
Matthew Nelson is a family man who also is a ska music enthusiast. His Opening Reception is Saturday, December 6th. He also curated a live music show on Saturday, December 13th at The CVAS.
All works will be for sale via The Coachella Valley Art Scene’s in-store gallery and online shop come December 6, 2014.
